Transformational Life Coach

  • Are you facing loss or difficult challenges?

  • Do you struggle with wanting to change, but not knowing how?

  • Do you long to be seen, heard, and understood?

  • Want to be confident about who you are, successful in life and partnership?

  • Do you wish you could move beyond your current suffering and understand yourself move deeply?

Given the proper conditions and the right tools, our experience of life and our relationships can transform. Having someone walking alongside you, seeing you and providing you with a compassionate environment and helpful and effective tools can make all the difference. Working together, through deep empathy, radical acceptance, and experiential processes, we can help you to discover You, do what works, and live an authentic and fulfilled life.

Let difficulty transform you. And it will. In my experience, we just need help in learning how not to run away.

Approach to Counseling

The quality of our experience with ourselves, our loved ones, and our colleagues truly determines the quality of our overall journey in life.

How we treat and talk to ourselves often comes from learned patterns inherited from our environment and family of origin. And now, each fight, hurtful word, and secret can create lasting damage to ourselves, others, and our relationships. Each day that goes by in self-loathing, doubt, anxiety, secrecy, depression, and anger is another opportunity for that negative cycle to get more ingrained.

You are not alone. We all face difficult times that can create tremendous pain and suffering. This suffering can come from how we harshly and maybe unconsciously judge ourselves, in conflicts in our relationships, addictions, isolation and self-sabotage, loneliness, overwork, perfectionism and more. These things can profoundly affect the quality of our life. I am deeply committed to providing loving and compassionate support to others. My practice is holistic and integrative, informed by transpersonal psychology, somatic therapy (healing with and through the body and nervous system), mindfulness, inner child work, Gottman therapy and Gestalt therapy.

I have spent over 30 years in the permaculture, health food and horticulture industries, as well as owning and operating a couple of small businesses. I believe nature has many parallels to our own healing and wholeness and provides many analogies that we can learn from and implement into our daily lives. I bring my life experience, training, and love for people to my practice as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor. I am passionate about people discovering who they really are and living a fulfilling life connected to their personal values while transforming the painful and limiting beliefs that may be blocking our path to a mature and flourishing life.

What Clients have said about Jasen

We regularly survey our clients and appreciate all who take the time to provide feedback to our counselors. The following are quotes from clients about their experience with Jasen. We do not use client’s names to protect client confidentiality.

Jasen was very comfortable to deal with. He gathers information in a low key fashion and I was given the impression that he was interested.
He seems a peaceful person and was very easy to talk to
— WC
Jasen holds caring and compassionate space that enabled me to explore some painful places and get to know myself better. I felt safe, seen, and heard.
He clearly cares deeply for his clients. We have been able to do some deep (yet gentle) healing work together, for which I am very grateful. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
