Insurance Information

Review your employee booklet or online employee benefits through your insurance provider to check if your insurance covers sessions at Bridge Counseling. Your group insurance plan will specify which providers are covered.

Below is the list of professional designations held by our counsellors. Please call or use our contact form if you have any questions.

Bridge Counseling has:

Registered Therapeutic Counsellors

Registered Psychologists

Provisional Registered Psychologists

Registered Social Workers Counsellors (RSW)

From time to time we may have therapists who are awaiting licensing or registration with their Association. These therapist will not have coverage through insurance providers and you will have to pay out of pocket.

Many insurance plans cover Psychologists, Social Workers, Clinical Counselors, Psychotherapists, Counselors, and Registered Counselors. It is the client's responsibility to ensure their insurance plan has coverage. When checking with the insurance provider, please consult the designations listed above.

Many Employee Assistance Programs cover counselling fees. Victim Services, Social Services, Child Protection Services, WCB, and SGI Claims covering counselling are welcome. The specifics of your policy may make a difference in your choice of a counsellor. Not all insurance plans will reimburse fees for any counsellor; some will specify whom you see or what type of credentials counsellors must have for you to be refunded. For some, benefits may be minimal and used up quickly, so in the long run, you may prefer to go with the therapist who seems to be the best fit for you.

Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB): Request to see Kathleen Anderson, Jayne Enns, Mackayla Wilson, Lorna Beech or Brian McDonald. We need your Status number, date of birth, and legal name to submit on your behalf.

Metis Nation of Ontario: Request to see Tania Rediron

Metis Nation of Saskatchewan: Request Tania Rediron or Lorna Beech

If your benefits plan requires you to contact the insurance provider directly, you may give them the name of a counsellor to see if they will cover that counsellor.

Direct billing is possible through Saskatchewan Blue Cross, Green Shield, Canada Life, Alberta Blue Cross, Desjardins, Manulife, Beneva, Equitable, First Canadian, Industrial Alliance, Chamber of Commerce (Johnston Group), GMS, Great-West Life, Group Health, Group Source, Peoples Corporation, RWAM Insurance, or when your insurance provider has communicated pre-approval to Bridge Counseling.

Note: We can directly bill insurance providers depending on the therapist’s designation. Just because we can direct bill does not guarantee coverage. Please consult your insurance provider to confirm coverage.

For clients, when we cannot direct bill, you will receive a receipt that lists the counsellor's credentials to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Feedback from our clients suggests that insurance companies are typically excellent at reimbursing people quickly once they submit their receipts.
